A Lizard I Found

He was found dried up inside a curtain in my house.  He has been in there for years and for some reason he fell out yesterday.  I could not figure out how to get him from inside the curtain.  Thankfully he just fell out.   He looked interesting, so I drew a picture of him.Lizard Drawing

Traci Lords

This is based on a photo of Traci Lords.  I'm not completely happy with it.  But here it is. From my perspective, there is waaaay too much work on the trunk.Traci Lords

Childhood Horrors

As a kid, we had horror movie related stuff everywhere.  Halloween was very popular.  The right-wing nutjobs hadn't decided it was evil yet.   Most every cereal box had something monster related inside as the toy surprise.  I remember Universal Monster characters on glow-in-the-dark plastic busts, Basil Golgos Posters, and records with horror stories right on the back of the cereal boxes! In fact  think the records and the posters were glow-in-the-dark too!  Horror movies were on TV every afternoon and Aurora model kits featured all the classic B&W monster movie moments.  Needless to say, I love B&W horror movies.   I would get up extra early to see the horror movies that started on weekends in the middle of the night.  I could catch the last one at 6:00 am before Speed Racer came on.

This Frankie is just for fun.

The Phantom

I love Chaney's Phantom and have loved it since I was a kid.  We watched this on 16mm at home with accompanying organ music.  I got to see a number of silent films on film as a kid because the library would loan them out and a projector as well.  I thought King Kong was a silent film because the version we borrowed was the library's short, silent version.Phantom Chaney
